What happens at Dance Yourself Dizzy?
Claire will guide everyone through the session and teach the dances as you go.There’s no expectation that you’ll already know what you’re doing, no need to get every move “right”, and no requirement to dance in exactly the same way as anyone else. You can come on your own or bring someone with you. You can be a regular dancer or someone who hasn’t danced for years. The point isn’t perfection. The point is dancing together.

From the dancefloor to the streets of Swanage
In August, Dance Yourself Dizzy got a little bigger. After rehearsing together at The Mowlem, our dancers spilled out onto Swanage seafront during Swanage Carnival for a huge flashmob.Regular Dance Yourself Dizzy dancers were joined by complete newcomers, with younger and older people dancing side by side outside The Mowlem. Some people had been learning the routine for weeks. Some had simply turned up.And it worked.
It was joyful, gloriously public and a pretty good demonstration of what Dance Yourself Dizzy is all about: making space for people to join in.
More than a dance class. Dance Yourself Dizzy is about more than learning a routine.
It’s about creating a space where people can move, meet, laugh and connect.
It’s intergenerational. It’s inclusive. It’s playful. And it brings together people who might not otherwise find themselves dancing in the same room.
You can come once. You can come every time. You can bring your friends, your family, or just yourself. We’ll see you on the dancefloor.
