It’s amazing to find ourselves already half way through the Mid Life tour.
We’ve been blown away by our audiences in Plymouth, Brighton and Swanage: the atmosphere has been utterly electric. We’ve also been truly touched by the audience feedback, which has been phenomenal.
A show like this creates a community wherever it touches down – some of the conversations we’ve had with audiences have been incredible. We’re so grateful to all the audience members who felt empowered by the stories we share in Mid Life to then share their own with us.
We’re also collecting these stories, along with words of advice and support, through the audience writing them down and posting them into our Big Pink Heart. More than 100 women so far have contributed to this. Watching it fill up is a continual reminder that we are not alone in our experience of midlife.
We’ve also been hugely impressed with our audience’s dance moves! Mid Life finishes with a 45 minute DJ set from Judith Jacobs who stars as DJ Empress JJ in the show. After all of the laughter and tears of the show, the audience have been truly letting loose on the dance floor. It’s such a joyful coming together in sisterhood – a fitting end to each performance.
We’ve asked our audiences what three words they’d use to describe Mid Life. Here are some of our favourites so far:

You can still catch Mid Life at Leeds Playhouse, 21-22 March, in Farnham Maltings, on 24 March, and we’ll be finishing at Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre on the 29th. If you’ve already joined us, then let your friends in Leeds, Surrey and Cornwall know, so they don’t miss out on: Mid Life!
