Mid Life

Hold tight… there’s a change coming.

Vivid, rebellious and joyful – Mid Life is a frank, comedic exposé of menopausal Mid Life. Join us as we laugh, roar and disco dance our way through our midlife!

Mid Life sold out in venues across the UK in 2020. Rewritten and revamped, this upbeat, life-affirming show is packed with razor sharp humour and disco. It draws its themes from real life experiences of women in midlife and ends with a dance party for all to join in.

Black and white image - Claire, Jacqui and Karen are in a public bathroom. Karen sits on the edge of the sink and looks in the mirror. Jacqui leans again the wall. Claire is closest to the camera - she's laughing.

“We made Mid Life because when I hit menopause I felt lost, anxious, unsure and overwhelmed by what was happening. This is the show I wish I had seen as I entered into the transformation of peri-menopause and menopause”.

STAGE TALK

“Mid Life is filled with a feeling of genuine and sincere love, both for those onstage and in the audience, that many shows aim for but few manage to create”
 EXEUNT

Karen, Jacqui and Claire stand in front of a white background. Karen and Jacqui share a knowing smile, Claire peers towards them, a little suspicious.

Mid Life was originally developed in 2019 in partnership with Bristol Old Vic Ferment. The work in progress played at Ferment, High Tide Festival and Brixton in 2019. In 2020 the show played to packed out houses at Weston Studio, Bristol Old Vic and The Pit Barbican Theatre London.
