Diverse City is proud to be one of the signatories of the Freelance Task Force open letter to theatre and performance makers in the UK today.
We are committed to working for you and with you towards a sustainable future for theatre and performance.
As a result, we have chosen Milton Lopes as our sponsored artist who will join the National Freelance Task Force under Extraordinary Bodies, our collaboration with Cirque Bijou. Milton is one of a number of artists who have worked with our circus company since the very beginning.
Our Selection Process
We firstly identified freelance, D/deaf or disabled artist activists with a real and ongoing connection with us and, crucially, to the wider freelance circus and theatre world. We then made a direct approach to an individual who we felt had a a proven track record – Milton.
