Join EBYA at Lighthouse Poole for a unique residency for young people.
A unique youth residency is happening this August led by professional artists from Diverse City in partnership with Lighthouse. We want to bring together young creatives aged 14 – 26 years, with EBYA for a performance residency in the Concert Hall at Lighthouse.
Extraordinary Bodies Young Artists (EBYA) is Diverse City’s youth performance company, an inclusive group of young people who identify as straight, gay, migrant, learning disabled and non-disabled.
The 3 days are a brilliant chance to explore skills in aerial circus, theatre, drama, dance and music. It’s also an opportunity to meet other young people interested in performing, creating shows and trying something new.
The residency will finish with a performance of EBYA’s new show Becoming and everyone in the residency will be part of the show.
Becoming celebrates unheard stories of pride and triumph.
Of discovery and identity.
It explores growing up and the unique journeys we all take to becoming.
The residency will run from Wednesday 23 – Friday 25 August, 10am – 3pm.
An invited audience of friends and family are welcome to come along to see a free performance of Becoming on Friday 25 August at 7pm in the Lighthouse Concert Hall.
The Summer Performance Residency is free, but booking is essential.
